FOX Weather reported 10.9 inches of snow in Des Moines, Iowa — the city’s highest November snowfall total since 1968 and the second-highest on record for the month.

The post-Thanksgiving storm dumped heavy snow across the Midwest, with some areas like Waterloo and Callender seeing up to 14 inches.

It caused major travel disruptions over the holiday weekend.

For context, Des Moines’ all-time November record is just over 12 inches, so this event came very close to breaking it.
