Three people have died and more than 90,000 people had been evacuated to temporary shelters in Malaysia, according to the National Disaster Command Centre on Friday (November 29, 2024) as officials warned the monsoon season could bring the country's worst flooding in a decade. Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that the floods were expected to be more severe than in 2014, when nearly a quarter of a million people were forced from their homes.
